Green Acres Farm & Home
We are here to help you with home decor, gifts, farm animals, and life in general. Our goal is to glorify God in our home, family, and business enterprises. Over the past ten years, we have learned so much about farm life and made constant adjustments with our time and our priorities. So far, farm life has been a hard, but enjoyable, journey of learning, growing, and trusting God.
The Rusty Coop.

Our farm store, The Rusty Coop, has been a dream of mine for over ten years! I carry Antique Candle Co. candles, Candy Club candy, original canvas prints, pillows, coffee, tea, and an array of home decor items.
As of January, 2025, I have changed my business plan to focus on hosting several Market Days throughout the year. We have been unable to open every weekend because of the work load on our farm each weekend. With that said, I am planning to host a Spring Market, a Fall Market, and a Christmas Market each year so watch for upcomining dates on my Facebook page, The Rusty Coop. We had fifteen amazing vendors at our 2024 Christmas Market!! Come drink a fresh cup of coffee with me or shop by appoiontment only.
Please email me via the address below if you would like to come visit us on a Saturday and we may be able to accommodate you and your friends if we don’t have a weekend project already planned on the farm. I can’t wait to see you here, My Friend!
Miniature Farm Animals.

On Green Acres, we raise registered Miniature Hereford cattle, registered Butler Texas Longhorn cattle, Micro Miniature cattle, Dwarf Nigerian goats, and KuneKune pigs. We have found these breeds to be friendly, easy to manage, and adorably cute.
Contact either me, The Head Hen, at the email address below to see what we have available.
Aussiedoodles.

Our Australian Shepherd, Opal.
Updated: As of January, 2025, we have permanently closed our small Aussiedoodle and Pyredoodle breeding business because of the enormous amounts of time, effort, and money spent on our puppies. We enjoyed working with the dozens of people who purchased our puppies, but we had to focus more time and attention on our farm and other animals. Please visit the pages above to see our adorable puppies. We are grateful for this season on our farm and were able to keep several of our precious puppies.
A Little About Us!
In 2015, we decided to pursue our lifelong dream of living in the country and moved to a 30-acre farm in Central Texas. We have both worked hard day and night to make our dreams come true. I started teaching middle school in 1988 and retired in December of 2020. My creative goal was to open my own home decor shop, The Rusty Coop, and to provide a beautiful space for people to shop and gather. My dream of living on a farm and owning a shop have both come true! I am grateful to God for these wonderful blessings!
My husband, The Outdoorsman, is a former NFL equipment manager turned Emergency Management expert. He is still employed in the Emergency Management field, but works tirelessly to build fences and buildings on our farm to make it work for our family and animals. He has the skills needed to make a farm run smoothly. Without him, we would not be able to successfully live on our farm. I am truly thankful for the skills his parents and grandparents taught him.
We are so blessed with our three adult children and are happy to say they all live within a one-hour radius of our farm. They are the most important people in our lives along with our family and friends. We are truly blessed!
